Kyra Poh, our Year 5 Visual Arts student first picked up indoor skydiving 8 years ago when it was a little known sport. She and her primary school friend and sky-diving partner Choo Yi Xuan from Singapore Sports School have since represented Singapore and won many accolades at the Wind Games and the FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving Championships. Accompanying them on the cello was SOTA's very own Heema Izzati Zainudin! The Year 2 Visual Arts student is a multi-instrumentalist, well-versed in not just the cello, but also the piano and ukulele. Literary Arts faculty clinches awards at National Poetry Competition, Our Literary Arts faculty clinched several awards at this year's National Poetry Competition, organised by Poetry Festival Singapore. With the theme "Community", the competition saw students Isabelle Lim (Year 4) and Maegan Tan (Year 3) placing 1st and 2nd respectively in the Junior category, while faculty member Mr Ian Goh placed 2nd in the Senior category. Isabelle also performed her poem at the online awards ceremony held earlier this August. Congratulations Isabelle, Maegan and Mr Goh
