First foreigner accepted into film directing at Tokyo University of the Arts

Film faculty member, Mr Liao Jiekai, is the first foreigner accepted into the postgraduate course in Film Directing at the Tokyo University of the Arts, School of Film and New Media! The highly competitive course accepts only 4 applicants every year. Mr Liao had to go through three rounds of examinations from November 2017 till during the February 2018, and finally learnt about his successful application at the beginning of March 2018.

Mr Liao is looking forward to learn from film directing lecturers and directors, Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Suwa Mobuhiro. Congratulations, Mr Liao!
