Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines (The Royal Band) presented the UK premiere of SOTA's Dean (Arts & Special Project), Dr Kelly Tang's composition "Three Portraits for Symphonic Band" on 26 February, conducted by Ignatius Wang from SAF Bands. "Three Portraits for Symphonic Band" is the first Singaporean composition ever to be performed by the Royal Band. It was commissioned in 2008 for an Esplanade premiere by SAF Central Band

Congratulations to our Visual Arts alumna Gillian Chen on the opening of her exhibition, flitter, on 8 April 2017 at Zarch Collaborative Space. Revisiting her body of work from 2015 and 2016, crafted from the detritus of various transitions, hair, dust and flaking wall paints, Gillian Chen embarked on flitter with a focus on the states of incompletion and the perpetuity of change in stagnant places.
