Sovereign Asian Art Prize

Recipients: Robert Zhao

SOTA Visual Arts teacher Robert Zhao is among 30 finalists vying for a major regional prize, the Sovereign Asian Art Prize. This is the largest regional award for art, founded in 2003 by the Sovereign Art Foundation. The prize drew a record number of entries this year, with 300 nominated artists from 25 countries. Robert submitted his print piece, Expedition #43, which is part of a body of work that records investigations by the Glacier Study Group on the impact of global warming on the Arctic environment.
