Year 4 Visual Arts student Alisa Yeo's entry for the Own Your YEP Moments call organised by Youth Corps Singapore was selected as one of the Top 100 photo stories! The Top 100 photos selected were featured during the exhibition Many Lenses, One YEP on 15 and 16 July 2017 at the National Museum of Singapore.

With about 4,000 individuals impacting local and overseas communities annually on Youth Expedition Projects (YEP), Many Lenses, One YEP aims to showcase the meaningful experiences of participants through photo-essays.

View Alisa's entry, Guava(s), below. The photo was taken in Vietnam.

Alisa Yeo - Many lenses One YEP 2017

Photo caption: This lady had approached us with two bags of guavas which out local guide had later purchased for our consumption. She didn't seem to have much, the guavas were far from expensive, yet she continued making an honest living. She did not lie that the guavas were the sweetest, instead, she told us honestly, knowing that we might have turned her down. When I pointed the camera at her, she gave me this dazzling smile and then, I was struck with the realisation that there's still hope in this world and that we don't need riches to be happy.

Alisa has another entry which was featured HERE. Year 4 Theatre student Dawn Lim's entry was also featured HERE.
