SOTA: School of the Arts Singapore

The "Eat Duck" Experience

Published on Dec 17, 2019

Through collaborations with industry partners, SOTA students have the opportunity to enhance their skills by learning directly from accomplished arts practitioners. In a partnership with Checkpoint Theatre this year, three Year 5 Theatre IBCP students, Arielle Jasmine Van Zuijlen, Clarissa Liaw, and Phone Myat San, participated in an internship programme where they had the opportunity to be part of the production crew of Eat Duck. Theatre students Sim Shann (Year 2), Adam Michael Scott Wee Ann (Year 5) successfully auditioned and landed roles in the production. We were delighted that Theatre alumni Victoria Chen (2012) and Chaney Chia (2015) were cast for Eat Duck too. Read on to find out more about their thoughts and experiences in this production.

Thank you Checkpoint Theatre for sharing our belief in providing authentic learning experiences and nurturing artistic learners!
