Contemporary Gamelan Masterclass - Post Exams Activities 2015

Our Year 3 music students had rare insights into the traditional Javanese Gamelan music through a masterclass during the post-examination period in October 2015.

Over a period of 4 days, they were introduced to contemporary compositions on the Javanese Gamelan. On the final day of the 4-day long session, staff and other students were treated to melodious Gamelan tunes from the students as they performed pieces of compositions they had learnt.
