To commemorate the completion of Downtown Line 3 (DTL3) in 2017, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) organised a postcard design competition for schools, themed 'Life Around DTL3'.

SOTA was one of the schools specially invited to collaborate with LTA. With the guidance of their teacher, Ms Fang Siwei, six Visual Arts students created six original postcard designs - three for Fort Canning Station and another three for Bencoolen Station. The students involved were from Year 4 (Sarah Chuwa Shu Yi and Tasmin Emma Augustin) and Year 5 (Ethel Hong Shuen Wen Fun, Kanazawa Shiori, Lau Tse Xuan and Denise Wang Wen Xin).

Their colourful designs along with the winning entries from the various schools were then printed on postcards and distributed at the DTL3 Open House in October 2017.

This project was organised by LTA with the intention of creating a platform to showcase and encourage creativity in students. SOTA is happy to have been a part of this project, and to have the opportunity to showcase our students' artworks to the public.
