Singapore Night Festival

The Singapore Night Festival 2016 was held on 19-20 August and 26-27 August. Partnering once again with the National Heritage Board, a group of SOTA Year 4, 5 and 6 Visual Arts students presented the art installation, "Aurora", at our West Plaza steps.

The art installation was inspired by the iconic steps leading up to SOTA. Year 5 Visual Arts students Sean Siow, Ong Wen Xuan, Beatrice Feng, Lee De Wei, Anna Scola, Calleen Koh, and Year 4 student Mark Sng were led by Year 6 student Kester Wong in the production of Aurora.

To accompany the art installation, Year 5 students Christina Cai, Shermaine Lim, Adam Mark Lim, Ashley Ho, Claire Pe, Clarice Loke, Rachel Leia Devadason, and Regene Lim also came together to perform a special percussion performance, constructed based on varying levels of density to imitate the aspect of a wavelength.
