Tales of the Malay World: Manuscripts and Early Books

In collaboration with the National Library Board for "Tales of the Malay World: Manuscripts and Early Books", two of our Year 4 students from the Music faculty created an original composition each in response to selected manuscripts that can be found in the exhibition.

Their pieces were performed by four Year 2 students and their teacher at the opening of the exhibition on 17 August 2017 at the National Library. The exhibition was held from 17 August 2017 to 25 February 2018 at the National Library Building Gallery.

The two compositions were played as recordings throughout the duration of the exhibition, till 25 February 2018. The composers also got to share with the guests the story and inspiration behind their creations. Here are some photos of our students with their parents and teachers at the opening!
