SOTA Awards Day 2017

The SOTA Awards Day, an annual event to recognise and celebrate our students’ efforts and achievements, was held on 15 May this year at the SOTA Concert Hall. The Guest-of- Honour for the event was Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, who delivered the opening address.

Award recipients went onstage to receive their award scrolls to warm applause from their proud parents, teachers and fellow students. The audience were treated to performances put up by the Music, Dance and Theatre faculties and excerpts from Take: 1 (2017) produced by our Film students. Many appreciated the heartfelt speech given by Cheri Wee, who was the recipient of this year's Prime Minister’s Valedictorian Award.

Guests were invited to view the Visual Arts exhibition, 3Quarters, and the Literary Arts showcase, Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?, after the Awards Ceremony.
