Laszlo And The Dark

The graduating batch of International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) Theatre students presented an interactive performance of Laszlo And The Dark for Primary School children on 27 September at the Artground at Goodman Arts Centre.

Based on Lemony Snicket’s award-winning book, The Dark, the performance was directed by Sean Tobin, Head of Theatre Faculty, and was a culmination of works completed in a new IBCP module, Theatre for Young Audiences.

The 40-minute programme included an interactive performance which playfully brought to life the story of Laszlo And The Dark and an art session with the children after the performance. Through the performance, the SOTA students were able to engage the children and create a fun and informal environment for the children to appreciate theatre and to learn to express themselves through it.
