Summary of Job
To maintain the facilities management services within the school and provide support to the
Office of Property Management

To manage end-users’ feedback and overseeing various building systems, components
upgrading, cyclical replacement works, and minor A&A/ improvement projects.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment and systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure proper equipment function and identify potential hazards
  • Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of ACMV equipment (i.e. Chillers, Cooling Towers, pumps, AHU, FCU, etc.) as per schedule
  • Assist FSM in ensuring facility compliance with safety regulations, including the fire safety, OSHA, and building codes
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on equipment and systems
  • Maintain and repair plumbing & sanitary systems to prevent water damage and restore full functionality of water fixtures as needed
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of electrical fixtures and fittings
  • Communication: Coordinate maintenance and repairs needs with other departments and employees to minimise disruption to curriculum activities
  • Emergency Response: Respond to facility-related incidents such as power outages, water leakages, etc. promptly and effectively
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by reporting officer or school management
  • Maintain on-call availability after normal working hours for emergency needs as required
  • Support school-wide events and key activities

Job Requirements (Education, Experience and Knowledge/Skills)
Education
Higher Nitec in Facility Management or Nitec in Built Environment (Mechanical & Electrical
Services)

Knowledge & Skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail mall/office/hotel/institutional with sound technical knowledge of building services (M&E)
  • Higher Nitec in Facility Management or Nitec in Built Environment (Mechanical & Electrical Services)
  • Certificate of CERT First Aid with CPR and AED course
  • Solid understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques
  • Effective problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills
  • Able to perform shift work which includes working on Saturday, Sunday and/or on Public Holidays

Experiences
At lease 3 years’ relevant experience in building / facility management, operation, and
maintenance.
