Congratulations to Koh Cheng Jin (Music, 2014) whose composition has been selected as the commissioned work for the 2021 Singapore International Violin Competition! Earlier this year, Cheng Jin won The Juilliard School's Palmer Dixon Prize for the top composition of the year too!

Acting in an interactive virtual play

SOTA alumnus Irsyad Dawood (Theatre, 2017) starred in "Murder at Mandai Camp", an interactive virtual play by Sight Lines Entertainment. Written and directed by playwright Chong Tze Chien, the live theatrical production was performed via video conferencing platform Zoom.

SEIRA lifts spirits with music and dance

During the COVID-19 period, SEIRA presented a delightful K-pop orchestra and dance cover online. Founded by SOTA alumnus Misugi Tsumugu (Music, 2016), the team of artists at SEIRA dedicated the video to "everyone who is doing their part in containing this virus."

Groove to the delectable tune of Bacon

SOTA alumnus Lim Jing Jie (Music, 2013) has released his latest single, Bacon! A delectably groovy tune that combines 80s-inspired synthesiser sounds with candid and humorous lyric writing, Bacon is sung by Jing Jie himself and produced by synthpop duo Y ARA.

Bringing characters to life with her voice

Leonie Koh (Theatre, 2015) fell in love with voice acting since she was 14 years old. She pursued her passion after SOTA and was recently selected to play the main character of upcoming game, Chinatown Detective Agency. Leonie shares more about her love for voice acting with us.
