Jongah Yoon was born in Seoul, South Korea. She attended the Seoul Music and Arts High School and completed her studies with Professor Catherine Vickers at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany, where she received her Masters in Piano Performance.

She has performed in both Europe and Asia. While living in Germany, her concert life brought her in front of audiences in London, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg, and Berlin. In Asia, she has performed at the New Music Festival Korea, Tongyeong International Music Festival, the Akiyoshidai International Arts Village (Japan), as well as in Singapore where she makes her home today.
