Maslinda Bt Muhamed Ali

Maslinda Bt Muhamed Ali earned her Bachelor of Arts (Education) degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2003. She graduated with Second Upper Class Honours and was one of the top three students from her cohort. In 2006, Maslinda received her Master of Education (with honours) from University of Western Australia (UWA). During her time in Perth, Maslinda stayed at St Catherine’s College and made it to the college Dean’s List.

Maslinda taught for eight years at Zhonghua Secondary School and held various coordinator positions in the Mother Tongue and Student Development department. As a Malay language coordinator, Maslinda ensured the smooth running of all programmes and activities under her charge, which included the Malay Special Programme (MSP) and Malay Conversational Course. She was appointed teacher mentor to new Malay language teachers and did professional sharing at cluster level. Maslinda is also a trained teacher counsellor and CARE officer. She has also undergone International Baccalaureate’s specialised training in teaching Malay Language.

Maslinda appreciates social and cultural diversity and loves to read and travel in her free time. It is through her reading and embarking on travel journeys that she has forged firm friendships overseas.
