Katryna Tan is one of the leading Asian harpists in the region. Besides her active career as a concert and recording harpist, Katryna held multiple roles in her harp career and contributed greatly to the region’s music scene. A Masters graduate from University of Michigan, Katryna was awarded the Young Artist Award 2005 by the National Arts Council of Singapore and  the prestigious “Setiawan Tuanku Muhriz” (STM) title by the Ruler of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia (2011).


An active solo performer and chamber musician, Katryna has performed several recitals internationally (Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, France, USA, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia). She also advocates new works on the harp and is a keen supporter of Asian and contemporary works.


As the artistic director of Singapore’s leading Harp Ensemble – Rave Harpers, Katryna has led the team to perform in several major events such as ChildAid, Singapore President’s Charity Show and Singapore Harp Festival.


Katryna is the Harp Director to Cempaka Schools and Penang Harp Academy in Malaysia. Katryna was the Artistic Director for 5 seasons of Singapore Harp Festivals and she has been invited to Australia, China and Indonesia as visiting professor.


A creative artist, Katryna produced two harp musicals - “PLUCK – The Harp Musical“ in Nov 2012, and the “Pluck and the Magical Banyan Tree”  in 2015. Katryna’s collection of albums include “Water Dance”, “Harp On”, “Moments” (Harp and Cello) and “A Little Light Music” (Harp and Flute),“I-Sis Trio: Passion” and “ La Noche” (Harp and Flute). Katryna also wrote a book “Unleash the Musician in You” sharing her teaching thoughts with music students.
