Pianist Dr. Kim Bo Kyung, born in South Korea, received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to that, she obtained a Master of Music degree in piano pedagogy and piano performance from the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she worked as a Teaching Assistant and was chosen as a member of Pi Kappa Lambda (National Music Honor Society), and a Bachelor's degree in piano performance from Eastern Michigan University with Dean’s honor.
Dr. Kim has given many solo, duo, chamber recitals and concerto concerts in the US, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia, Germany, Rumania, Turkey and Singapore. She also has been invited as an adjudicator at many competitions and as a faculty member at numerous piano festivals. As a piano pedagogue she frequently presented her articles at conferences as well.
Previously Dr. Kim has been teaching at University of Malaya as an assistant professor where she served as Head of the Music Department. She relocated in Singapore in 2017 and currently teaches at School Of The Arts, Singapore.
